Paragon Pain and Rehab Relaunches as Paragon Health Partners to Embody Multidisciplinary Service Offering

Paris Medical Practice, founded by Dr. Vargas and Dr. Benavides, Supports Patients with Pain, Weight Loss and Addiction

Paris, Texas, June 1, 2022 – Paragon Health Partners, formerly Paragon Pain and Rehab, has primarily been known as a leading provider of pain management services in Northeast Texas. Today, the practice announced its name transition to Paragon Health Partners to encapsulate all the specialties their Board-Certified team offers, including addiction and weight loss management.

“Pain management and PM&R (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) have been at the core of our business and will continue to be a focus,” said Paragon co-founder and Board-Certified physician, Dr. Norberto Vargas. “Alongside this, we offer best-in-class obesity and addiction treatments that allow us to improve a patient’s overall health. For instance, patients who come in for pain can sometimes benefit from our medically assisted weight loss program as the least invasive and most sustainable option to manage that pain. The marriage of these specialties has been a key factor in our patients’ results and we’re incredibly excited to have it reflected in our name.”

Paragon Health Partners specializes in the following:

  • Pain Management: We provide several cutting-edge treatment options for controlling the symptoms of acute and chronic pain which may include non-surgical as well as non-invasive treatments.
  • Medically Assisted Weight Loss: Our 6 month medically guided weight loss program focuses on building healthy, sustainable habits around nutrition and exercise. Our Board-Certified providers in Obesity Medicine create an individualized treatment plan to help reach an optimal healthy weight for each patient.
  • Addiction treatment: Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the use of medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat substance abuse. In addition to MAT, we also treat alcohol addiction with The Sinclair Method which offers hope to treat alcohol addiction with respect, privacy, and science to turn habit-forming behaviors into habit-erasing behaviors.

“We’ve always been focused on offering compassionate, compliant, and comprehensive care. With this repositioning, it will be easier for North Texans and Oklahomans to find us for the specialties they need,” said Paragon Office Administrator, Karen McNerney.
